Why Are They Important?
According to bioweb.uwlax.edu/ they are important because that is where we get our maple syrup from. Without them we would see a huge depletion in maple syrup. Our lumber production would also go down as it is a source of lumber for humans, since it is one of the most hardest and densest types of wood. It is used to make things such as furniture, cabinets, and woodenware. They can even make bowling alleys and basketball courts! They are also important because there are a number of species that feed off of the bark or the seeds from the tree.
